Atoli

Atoli is a member of Sakaki's unit two and one of his most devout followers. Though the fine details are never given, we know the two met on a suicide website and he presumably convinced her to play "The World" with him. In the real world, Atoli is a teenage girl living with strict parents and cold friends; she can't seem to please anybody and is constantly being pulled in multiple directions by people telling her what to do. Her escape is "The World" and mainly, Sakaki.

Sakaki puts on a kind and considerate face for Atoli. He listens to her problems, he guides her, and he treats her with care. Atoli's lack of self-confidence leads her to spout Sakaki's ideals with little thought behind them and he is happy to feed them to her.

In return for her blind loyalty, Atoli often accompanies Sakaki to various areas to "listen" for a sound only she can hear. One of these sounds originates from behind the Tri-Edge sign at Δ Hidden Forbidden Bulwark, the Lost Ground Moriggu Barrow Wall, and eventually leads Haseo's party to face off against Azure Kite.

After Haseo uses his Avatar Skeith to remove the AIDA from Atoli's Innis, Sakaki flees to the Lost Ground Briona Gwydion the Dragonbein Range. There, Atoli confronts him, wanting to know who the real Sakaki is: the Sakaki who was always kind to her, or the one who infected her with AIDA. The truth probably becomes apparent as Sakaki raves incoherently about her perceived betrayal and outright mocks her.

Though Sakaki offers to take Atoli back and show her the world she wished for so much, she refuses to join him. His ideal world is one she no longer wants. He tells her the world is in a phase, a state of change. Though there is pain, once they are past that pain they will have their perfect world. Atoli refuses and Sakaki goes completely over the edge. Figuratively and literally.
