Rokujo Miharu is an apathetic and dispassionate teenager with little interest in anything but cruising through life on the easiest road possible. He is our hero and the holder of the Shinrabansho, the ultimate codex of life sought after by everyone in the world of Nabari, or the ninja world hidden under the civilian "front" world. Now the once indifferent Miharu must become the ruler of Nabari if he wants to survive.

Nabari no Ou, or "Ruler of Nabari", is written and illustrated by Yuhki Kamatani. It is currently still being serialized in Square-Enix's monthly G-Fantasy magazine while its anime counterpart wrapped up at 26 episodes.

Shimizu Raikou

Raikou is a 20-year-old samurai working for the Grey Wolves as a member of their local mod squad to keep rogue ninjas who would use their abilities to prey on civilians in line. Despite his serious and rather bloody day job, he considers himself a person adept at "being care free" and cat's cradle. He and his sister Raimei are the survivors of the Shimizu clan, once a noble samurai family massacred years prior to the story's beginning. Raikou is believed by his sister to be the one responsible for the murders.
