Despite its general kookyness, AVALANCHE is not a team to be trifled with. They stand by each other no matter the cost and are always ready to wreak havoc for a good cause. And they're all always ready to yell at Cloud when he gets mopey.
BARRET WALLACE: Barret and Cloud get off on the wrong foot. Cloud's coolness irritates Barret, Barret's loud nature annoys Cloud. However, the two develop a strong friendship and understanding. They're sort of like VII's bickering odd couple.
YUFFIE KISARAGI: Yuffie enjoys picking on Cloud, but she does it with fondness, and the feeling is mutual. During AC, she says with affection that Cloud is "one royal pain the ass".
CID HIGHWIND: As friends, Cloud and Cid have a mutual respect and are actually quite alike. Cid is rougher around the edges than Cloud, but they both lead the team and bring the fighting spirit back to their group at different times. In his own rough way, Cid really does like Cloud.
VINCENT VALENTINE: Cloud has a sort of mentor-student thing going on with Vincent. Their conversation in AC shows a level of respect and openness. Vincent does not hesitate to speak his mind.
CAIT SITH/REEVE: Reeve and Cloud seem to be on good terms. Reeve leaves humorous messages on Cloud's phone, despite being originally sent as a spy.
RED XIII: Red and Cloud have very similar pasts, despite their huge differences. Both wanted to take on responsibilities far beyond their years and abilities. The two get along well.
